Location is Everything!

Where do you live? The quote often used in the real estate market is simply ”Location, Location, Location”. Location is everything. I agree. However, I am not talking about the physical place where you lay your head at night, I am talking about your Being: Who you are, where you are in your life, what your intentions are for your existence, etc. This is the most important “location” to know. Happy, balanced, loved, grateful, complete, etc. All these words used to define where we are at any particular moment. But where are you for the long haul? If you were asked to describe how you felt at any given time, would you describe being in a positive place? What about how you felt on a whole, taking into account past, present and future. To sum it all up, are you optimistic? Satisfied? Grateful? Lost? Unsure or waiving?

So often we run from one engagement to the next, working overtime, caring for others, getting caught up in the everyday hustle, that we neglect ourselves. We don’t honor the unique journey that we are on. Some people grow up knowing who they are and what they stand for and live everyday fulfilling their purpose. Some of us figure this out somewhere between college and the real world. Most of us are still struggling with that well in our late 20’s, 30’s, and even into our 40’s and 50’s. The things that make our lives worth living are sometimes the very things that prevent us from truly living. Are you truly living? Or are you checking off tasks on that never ending list. Our journey in life is never ending, as we are always evolving. Knowing our purpose, and living it, is essential for use to reach the next step on our journey. Adding a few items to the top of your “to do” list might help you stay balanced as you journey through life.

-Did I love enough?
-Did I laugh enough?
-Did I make a difference?
-Did I show gratitude?
-Did I take time to tend to my needs?
-Did I take the time to realize my purpose?
